You can grow seedlings in plastic pots,
ice-cream tubs, egg boxes or any other
container. Why not try cutting a milk carton
in half? Fill the containers with the soil mix
you used in your grow boxes.
Before planting any seeds, you need to sterilize
the soil. Scatter with plant ash to prevent
disease; plant ash is the residue of burned
plant parts.
You will need two heaping spoonfuls of ash for
each small container. You can also use boiling
water to sterilize the soil.
